It’s Friday, the temperature for the weekend is going to be in the mid-70′s and I have a Mojito in hand. Happy Cinco de Mayo! Life in the Gonzalez household has been truckin’ so well, there really isn’t much news to report. Life is good and busy, here are a few sweet notes of Spring.
First and foremost, it’s the NBA Playoffs. So right away you should know our house is filled with all things Lakers. Talk radio, pre-game shows, half-time reports, post-game highlights…you get the idea. As I write, a game is just getting started. Not on at your house? Shame on you. (Can I come over?)
And the weddings continue! Two in the past two weekends in fact! We were so excited to see our good friends, Lina and Jason, and Lindsay and Ryan, tie the knot on the central coast. Beautiful weather, good wine and some much-needed catching up. Our trips up North also included a sweet surf lesson from Sada Andrews, founder of Mama Can Surf. Thanks to her, Laura was able to catch some waves after two years with no surf!
Brian is loving his job and finding time to write his thesis. One more month to go till it’s due! Somehow he’s gotta fit work, Lakers, wife and thesis into his schedule…good thing the wife’s not too demanding. Can’t say the same of the Lakers;)
Laura began working as a one-on-one instructional aide in early March and is loving it. She works at a public school in Pasadena with a Rock Star first grade teacher. Like any job, some days are challenging, but she’s thankful for her student’s quirky personality and the rapport they share.
All that being said, we are looking forward to summer! Warm days, camping and no thesis.
We’ll let cha know when more exciting things happen! Sending off with a few more Spring memories…
